Girls Centre of Excellence

The Football in the Community Scheme is delighted to announce the Girls Centre of Excellence squads for 2005-2006 season.
The girls attended the trials back in June, all trying their hardest to show their talents in order to gain a place within the Centre of Excellence, and those that have the potential to progress were selected for the Development Centre.
This season the girls will be playing more competitive fixtures in the Girls Centre of Excellence East & East Midlands Regional Development League. The girls will play against other professional football clubs, including Ipswich, Chesterfield, Norwich, Northampton, Rushden & Diamonds, MK Dons, Lincoln and Notts County.
Centre of Excellence Director Andy Coles explains, "This season the introduction of more fixtures will help to increase players' development along with a new technical programme.
"We are now looking forward to another great season working with some fantastic players and we will keep you informed of the squad's progress."
If any girl would like to get involved in Girls Football activities please call the FITC office on 01223 416238.
