A first year pro, Brampton-based Mikey joined Cambridge City at the age of 13 and was one of the boys to transfer to United along with most of City's Youth Development set-up in the summer of 2006.
The bustling midfielder played regularly for the CRC side in the Ridgeon's Premier League during 2006/07 and was part of the youth team that progressed to the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup, including wins over Tranmere and Crewe.
A tigerish performer who also has an eye for goal, Mikey captained the youth team for most of last season and made his first team debut as a sub in the defeat at Stevenage on 20th January 2007.
Mikey was one of three scholars to earn a pro deal at the end of last season.
