Lee Boylan equalised with his second headed goal in successive games to get United back into the game on Saturday, and admitted that he feels on top of his game after recovering from an ankle injury.

"That's two headed goals in two games and personally I'm happy with that," he said. "I feel really sharp at the moment, my fitness is really good, but more than that it's all about the team spirit here. It's massive, probably the best I've known.

"We all stick together throughout the squad - the gaffer has drilled it into us that you don't win things as individuals. Obviously you've got to put in individual performances, but you've got to work as a team and Saturday was just one example of that. Even when we went a goal down we had no doubt we could go on to win the game."

Boylan paid tribute to the support from the fans, saying, "That was something special. It gives all of the team a boost to know we are going out to play in front of that support - not just the numbers but vocally as well, both home and away."

He also praised Aldershot for their performance, adding, "In the last two games we've shown what we can do by beating the league leaders and to be fair Aldershot are a far better side than Torquay. Aldershot play a decent style of football, whilst Torquay went route one for long periods, which is very disappointing seeing as they've set the pace since dropping out of the Football League.

"We really took the game to Aldershot and dominated for long periods and had far more chances than them, fully deserving our place in the next round of the cup. But whether it's the cup, league or whatever, the team spirit is so strong we just don't want to be beaten.

"That goes for games against the top sides or the bottom, like next week against Northwich."

Boylan's goals against Torquay and Aldershot bring his tally in all competitions to six, one behind Leo Fortune-West on seven, while Scott Rendell leads the way with ten in the Blue Square Premier and one in the FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round.
