Following on from the early season discount offer that expires on Friday (25th April), the Board of Directors have spent considerable time deliberating over ticket prices for the 2008/09 season.

Mindful of the impact of prices rises, the Directors have tried to tier prices to cater for all levels of supporter. With this in mind, the early season ticket offer rewards supporters for their loyalty by offering the same reduced season ticket prices as the 2007/08 season, which, given the proposed price rises, represents tremendous value.

However with all costs rising and prices remaining static for the last four seasons, the club has little option but to increase prices. The admission and Season Ticket prices for next season are detailed below and will apply at whichever level we are competing.

The new pricing structure will put a premium on the better seats in the Main Stand, whilst the proposed opening of the South Stand to home supporters for all but the most high profile games will provide a cheaper seating option as well as an option for Junior U's to maintain their £2.00 entrance fee.

Admission and Season Ticket Prices for 2008/09, from Saturday 26th April 2008

Announcing the news about the South Stand, Chairman Philip Law stated, "It has been nagging away at us for some time that the best facility in the stadium is used by less than a hundred away supporters for the majority of games. We will see how things pan out over the next season as to whether we make this permanent for future seasons."

On the new pricing structure, Law added, "Price rises are always unpalatable, however they are necessary to ensure the long term future of the Football Club. The Board are mindful of the current economic climate, but we need put the club on a stable financial footing."

Once the current offer to buy season tickets at last year's reduced prices has expired on Friday, supporters will then be able to purchase their season tickets at 2008/09 reduced rates up until Saturday 14th June, after which time they will be available at full price.

Fans Director Brian Attmore added, "The current offer allows fans to watch the U's at 2004 prices, and the level of applications received to date would indicate that it has been very well received."
