STEVENAGE BOROUGH

Saturday 22nd September 2007 - Kick-off 3pm

Broadhall Way, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, SG2 8RH. Tel: 01438 223223

How To Get There:
By Car:
Leave the A1 (M) at Junction 7 and take the A602 towards Stevenage. Proceed directly across the first roundabout, and the ground (Broadhall Way) may be found on the right after the second roundabout.

Parking: There is a large car park directly opposite the ground - on your left, after passing the second roundabout. Although there are car parking spaces at the series of shops and eateries across the road from the ground, beware clamping.

By Coach: The Away Travel Club will be running a coach to this game, priced at £10 for non-members, £8 for members and £5 for under 16s. It will depart Barton Road coach park in Ely at 11.45am and the Abbey Stadium at 12.30pm. Please call 01223 566500 as soon as possible to reserve your seat.

By Train:  Supporters planning to travel to Saturday's match at Stevenage by rail are warned that there will be no train service between Cambridge and Royston all day. Replacement buses will operate when the line is closed. Engineering work will also affect 'one' services between London and Cambridge. Details can be found at the First Capital Connect website here.

United supporters give a tickertape welcome at Stevenage

Admission: £15 for adults, £12 for concessions (including students, under 16's, OAPs and UB40s).

Programme: £2.50

The Ground: United fans will once again be located in the covered seated South Stand behind the goal, which is one of the division's better 'ends'. We have also been allocated up to 500 seats in a Family Enclosure, entry via Turnstile number 20. This is in addition to the 1,400+ seats in the Away (South) Stand and brings the capacity available to Cambridge United fans to almost 2,000.

Pre-Match Refreshment: There is a clubhouse at the ground, though it is not always open to away travellers. Pub-wise, there are not many to be found in the direct vicinity of Broadhall Way, located, as it is, a little way from the town centre. Hence, in search of a public house, the town centre is the best bet. If it is fast food you desire, there are a series of outlets the other side of the underpass.

Local attractions: Stevenage is not blessed with an array of sights for the intrepid away voyager. Have a wander around the shops, and the town centre - apparently some of the tallest streetlights can be found in Stevenage. Stevenage is twinned with Shymkent in Kazakhstan, Kadoma in Zimbabwe, Ingelheim in Germany and Autun in France.
