ALTRINCHAM

Tuesday 18th September 2007 - Kick-off 7.45pm

Moss Lane, Altrincham, Cheshire, WA15 8AP. Tel: 01619 281045

How To Get There:
By Car:
Leave the M6 at Junction 19, and take the A556 towards Manchester Airport. At the large roundabout, turn right onto the M56. Exit the M56 at Junction 6 and opt for the A538 towards Altrincham. After about two miles, having passed through Hale Barns take the third right into Westminster Road, just after the junction with the A5144 (Delahays Road). Follow the road as it becomes Moss Lane, and the ground of the same name can be found a little way along on the right.

Parking: There is a small car park behind the away end, and a decent amount of street parking is also available.

By Coach: The Away Travel Club will be running a coach to this game, priced at £23 for non-members, £21 for members and £15 for under 16s. It will depart Barton Road coach park in Ely at 1.30pm and the Abbey Stadium at 2.15pm. Please call 01223 566500 as soon as possible to reserve your seat.

By Train:

Train: If travelling from Cambridge, train travel is far from ideal. It is costly (as per), roundabout, and a same-day return journey is impossible. But for those plumping for the railway option, Altrincham station is a brief wander away. Exit the station from the main entrance and take the first left into Moss Lane. Simply keep going until the ground appears on your left.

The Ground: U's fans will be allocated the uncovered terrace behind a goal (The Hale - 20/20 End). It provides ample room for supporters, with transfer to seating in the Carole Nash stand to the left. The majority of the remainder of Moss Lane is covered and perfectly suitable for Altrincham's fan base.

Admission: £12 for adults, £7 for concessions (under 16's and senior citizens)

Programme: £2.00

Pre-Match Refreshment: There is a fair sized supporters club - the Noel White Suite - at the ground, beneath the Main (Carole Nash) Stand, where away fans are welcome. Otherwise, the Bridge pub is on the way from the station, and the King George can be found further along Moss Lane in the opposite direction.

Local attractions: As Altrincham has become essentially a suburb of Manchester (8 miles north), there is not a great deal to see. Though if you fancy a late night wander, there is a golf course behind the ground, which offers minutes of occupation. I hope you made the most of Exeter; the pub may well be the best option on Tuesday night!
